This quite the eventful year for me, myself, & I. Who would have thought that 2008 would have brought so many ups & downs?

*January 4th- A baby was born unto us at 6:04 pm. You really can't start the year off with much more of a bang.

*May 11th- After 14 years with the same company, I was sent packing. This was a shocker, but all part of God's plan. Being a mere human, I might not have seen it at the time, but everything is working out.

*June- It's hard to believe, but we participated in our 9th Race for the Cure.

*August 11th- I got myself a new job.

*October 11th- I was part of a winning trivia table. We lost on a tiebreaker, but tying for first was pretty darn cool.

*October- Began teaching the youth class at church. It took a hile to get cranking, but the kids seem to enjoy it. Sometimes, I have 7 or 8 of them, which can be intimidating.

*November 2nd-4th- Made my first trip to Las Vegas. It was for work, but we had enought time to check out the scene. Not a place I can see returning to.


I really am looking forward to another blessed year, full of surprises, fun, & growth. I hope everyone who might take a peak in here from time-to-time has a wonderful 2009!!!

Greta turns 1 on the 4th. Time flies!
For records purposes, this is what's she's doing now...

She took her first steps a few weeks ago. One time, she walked a few steps, clapped, & did a little dance. She is VERY proud of herself.
She's uttering a smattering of words. She can say, baby, more, puppy (she whispers words that begin with P, like puppy & paw paw), da da & ma ma, of course, no, yes, & a few more that I'm forgetting. Oh, she's says Elmo, but it actually comes out as Melmo, which is cuter.
She loves music & loves to dance. She will boogie like no tomorrow & even does the Elvis leg thing.
The poor girl is hooked on Teletubbies, like crack. She will crawl to the computer room, when she needs her fix.
She has been eating adult food, along with her baby fare. She loves peas the most.
Her favorite thing to do is have us read to her. Last night, I must have read the same book six times in a row.
